Coronavirus Advice & Best Practice for Employers

Coronavirus Advice & Best Practice for Employers

Legal Implications and Recommended Best Practice

In response to the Global Health Emergency and its possible implications for the workforce, we are working with experts from Pinsent Masons Manchester to bring you a public policy event to provide an overview of the current coronavirus situation. We will give advice on how you should respond to the threat and support your employees by being prepared, looking after your employees’ health and safety, precautions to take for employees returning from travel, and contingency planning.

As the virus continues to spread, it could pose a significant threat to some organisations and employers will be called on to take every possible action to protect workers while maintaining business operations.

The level of risk an organisation may face will depend on whether it’s directly or indirectly affected. An organisation may also be affected if it employs people who have travelled back, or been in contact with, anyone who has returned from an area affected by the virus.

People’s health and well-being, and measures to prevent the virus from spreading should be at the heart of every employer’s response.

During our event we will help you to:

  • Keep up to date with Government and public health advice
  • Provide guidance on developing a contingency plan
  • Cover looking after people’s health, well-being and safety, and
  • Address wider health and well-being concerns

The event agenda is developing daily and we will keep you fully updated on our dedicated bookings page.

So, join us on Thursday, 19 March 2020 from 17:45 – 20:00 at the offices of Pinsent Masons (3 Hardman Street, Manchester, M3 3AU).

We are also looking into live streaming the first part of our event and making this available to those who book to attend. As our public policy events are held under the Chatham House rule we will not live stream discussions with attendees.
