Our series of three official welcome sessions run this September for new CIPD students in Manchester and Greater Manchester.
We’ll will introduce you to our dynamic branch and talk you through the support we provide as your local career partner, empowering and inspiring you during your studies and throughout your career in the people profession. You’ll discover how to take advantage of numerous opportunities to make valuable connections and learn from the experiences of others.
Meet our Student Engagement Lead
I joined the CIPD Manchester Branch volunteers as an ambassador since March 2020, supporting groups with events such as Wellbeing and Dissertations. In July 2021 I was elected to the committee as the new Student Engagement Lead.
I enjoy working with young people, supporting them in early career stages (I used to do it professionally too when working in the recruitment sector). I see massive potential in new generations of HR professionals and I believe I can add value to their further career development.
I follow in the footsteps of Emma Smart who led Student Engagement for two years. I’m keen to maintain a great relationships with educational centres and establish new relationships with key stakeholders and also refer one student to our team of branch ambassadors per educational centre in the Manchester area.
Outside of the CIPD, I work in an HR Manager role for a software development company based in Cheshire. I am a part of a big HR team but for my coverage areas, I work in a standalone role as an HR generalist for the UK,
USA and Germany.
